Keanu Reeves doesn’t have an urge for food for memes.
On Monday, Dec. 13, the Matrix Resurrections star, 57, chatted with Stephen Colbert on The Late Present concerning the newest installment of the Matrix sequence and shared the actual backstory behind one in all his most well-known memes: “Unhappy Keanu.”
The picture, which went viral again in 2010, options Keanu sitting on a park bench by himself wanting on the floor despondently as he munches on a sandwich.
When Stephen confirmed the picture to the digicam, Keanu expressed his indignation by shouting, “I am simply consuming a sandwich, man!”
So what was actually occurring in Keanu’s head when the picture was taken? “I used to be pondering! I had some stuff occurring,” he mentioned. “I used to be hungry.”
However, even 11 years later, the impact of “Unhappy Keanu” lives on. In actual fact, Keanu believes that the picture was used as inspiration within the paintings for his new comedian e book BRZRKR.
